Design & Balance
Design invites inquiry. By actively listening to our clients and contractors we research, relay, and refine our collective vision until all parties have complete understanding of how layout, materials, and mechanics will align themselves into the seamless synergy of form and function. Green Architecture drives our construction practices, and our success in sustainability ultimately flows from our eco-informed principles and philosophy.
We want the homes we design + build to radiate an organic synthesis of passive and active elements. As such, we constantly seek to tune the sensitive balance between the new and the renewable; between road-tested technology and natural character; and between individual materials and overall composition. In our work, seemingly competing elements such as steel and bamboo…natural plasters and polished concrete floors…and natural light and intimacy co-exist within a canvas that is pulled together effortlessly by the muted, symbiotic registers of form, texture, and space.
